I see where the government have been flying all sorts of kites regarding the crime epidemic sweeping Ireland. Considering only some short months ago they were trying to insist there is no crime crisis one wonders what has drastically changed that they were mooting the idea of putting the army onto the streets of Limerick so bad have things become in that city.

Parts of limerick are just like a war zone. Bombs are now frequently used as weapons in the turf wars there. The situation didn't get to this overnight, it's been a long journey of neglect and denial.

it is not just limerick where bombs are being used.......today in dublin the army bomb disposal unit had to deal with a number of pipe bombs left by criminals in a public park
