Driving license fiasco

If anyone was ever in any doubt as to the incompetent Muppet's we have running the country the recent driving license fiasco has surely put paid to those doubts. It beggars belief as to just how stupid people could be to have passed such ridiculous and unworkable legislation. The minister involved summed it all up while desperately back tracking on the legislation when he said live while being interviewed that initially for the "first three months the police would use their common sense in applying the new laws." And what happens then minister ? Common Sense is thrown right out the window I presume.

Many cops are on provisional driving licences and they won't be able to get to work to enforce this stupid law unless their mothers accompany them in thier cars. The whole situation is a mess and now made a thousand times worse by this crazy law. As you say rockdolphin, proof if ever it were needed that the irish government is run by incompetent muppets.
