i thought it was a joke when bertie awarded himself a pay rise of €38,000 which is greater than the industrial wage........this means he is now the highest paid leader in the industrial world......but poor bertie justifies this by claiming he hasn't enough perks.......this is what he said......"TDs deserve higher salaries because they don‘t have access to yachts or luxury homes like other world leaders", the Taoiseach today told the Dáil........ poor bertie he doesn't have a luxury yacht....well the rest of us in this joke of a country haven't access to basic health care...modern transport....and a host of other things taken for granted in most western countries..........can we have huge pay rises too

Quite right emma, if it was any other country the fraud squad and police would have been long since involved, not to mention the tax man.

they have done a u turn........an irish u turn.......they are not going to take the pay rise.....not really.....they have just postponed it until next year
